Eatin' Good in the Neighborhood: A Worthwhile Dining Experience at Applebee's

Applebee's

Marietta, Ohio

Ambiance

The atmosphere was exceptional. The temperature was set just right and the lighting was romantically dim, but not too dark. It was not noisy and there were no distractions from clanking noises in the kitchen or loud music. There were televisions around the room playing a college football game, but they were on mute so we could watch the game if we wanted, but we were not distracted by a loud sports commmentator while we were talking and eating. Presentation

The presentation was also nice. Each employee was wearing a black Applebee's shirt and black dress pants, which made the restaurant look formal. The menus were intricate and had many appetizing pictures of some of the dishes offered. The silverware was wrapped up in a strong napkin, and the dishes were heavy and looked expensive. The food was brought out by the waiters that took our orders. There was also lots of decorations at the restaurant, such as the televisions, pretty lamps hanging above the tables, and pictures around the room.

Service

The waitress who attended me was very friendly and patient. When I didn't know what to order, she added her own preferences to help me out. She also got all parts of our orders correct when they were brought back. However, the service could have been a little faster, but they were busy with a lot of customers so I understood why it would take longer than usual. She came back a few times to check up on us and gave refills when needed.

Cleanliness

There were no pieces of food on my table when we sat down. The floor didn't have very much dirt, and there was an employee sweeping the floor with a broom while I was there. The waiters' clothes looked spotless, and the fact that dirt would show up more on a black outfit made me even more convinced that they were clean. The tables were also cleaned within ten minutes after customers left their tables.

Food Quality

The food even better than I was hoping for. I ordered the endless soup and salad for five dollars, and it was definitely worth the money. The salad looked and tasted fresh. It was crispy and green, and had enough amount of dressing to go with it. The French soup was also perfect. It was hot when I first received it. There was a generous amount of cheese in it, which was my favorite part of the soup. There was also onion added, which gave it some extra flavor. It was a satisfying and tasty dish of soup and salad.

This restaurant is great for special occasions, formal gatherings, or just a fun place to eat with family and friends. It is a place where people of all ages can enjoy, and everyone feels welcome when they are there. It is a great family restaurant too, and you will not be disappointed with the food. It is a more formal and upper-class restaurant than some, but the food is not too expensive. I highly recommend eating there when you and your friends or family have time to kill and want to enjoy taking your time to sit down and have a great meal together.

  1. I agree with every thing you wrote except for the service. The last time I went to Applebee's it was late, so there was not that many people there. I had ordered my drink and waited for them to take my order. I sat there for 45 mins. and still no one came to take my order. I finally got up and walked out. It was the last time I ever went there. Their service is horrible.
