Enjoying the Golden Carrol Buffet

Ambiance:
The environment welcomes an evening with family or for a
date with a loved one. The seats aren’t that comfortable, but with the
atmosphere it can be a comforting evening. The lighting is of normal
brightness, not real dim like a romantic evening and not so bright that it ruins
the meal. They have an open grill that allows you to watch as your steak is
grilled to your liking. The food is laid out and labeled so you know what you
are getting to eat.

Cleanliness:
The tables where we were sitting at were clean and supplied with
plenty of napkins for our use. The surface of the buffet was clean and allowed
you to get your food with ease. The buffet did have foods that were occasionally
mixed from where customers have gotten their food and dropped some in another
food. The plates and silverware were clean and stacked neatly for easy access.

Quality of Food:
The quality of the food was excellent. The steaks were
cooked to medium well, just how I like it. The buffet food is always replaced
with fresh food. The rolls supplied at the buffet are warm and well buttered. The
Mac and Cheese and ice cream seem to be a generic brand and don’t taste too
good to me.

Service:
The service was great this visit. The woman that waited on
us came back often to see how we were and to get us refills and take our used
plates. She was kind when asking if we needed anything and when we asked for
something she seemed more than happy to get it for us.

Presentation:
The restaurant was set up neat from the entrance to the
seats. The buffet is set up with the
meats in one section, salad bar in another, and desserts in a third area. There
are pictures on the wall that show the historic features of Parkersburg.
