Ambiance:
As my boyfriend and I walked into the restaurant, the friendly hostess took us directly to our booth. Spagna's had a romantic atmosphere because they kept the lights dim and had candles lit. They also had romantic classical music turned on low. The staff was also very friendly, giving the restaurant an overall friendly atmosphere. They were friendly because they would make conversation with us and the other people dining. If you are looking for a place where you will be treated in a friendly manner or just a place where you can have a romantic meal, Spagna's is the place to go.

Presentation:
When we sat down, our thin, one-paged menus were placed on the table in front of us. Our silverware was wrapped in a green cloth napkin placed on the right side of our menus. There were also two small, white napkins placed on top of each other for our small glasses with thin black straws in them. Ian’s dish was well put together. They put the grilled chicken on top of the golden noodles, then carefully put green seasoning on the outside of the bowl. My lasagna dish wasn’t as well put together as Ian’s was. It honestly looked like a reddish-orange air bubble. It was placed in a wide bowl; a layer of lace was put underneath it to separate it from the plate it was on. If you want a place that takes the time to make the overall presentation beyond exceptional, this restaurant is for you.

Cleanliness:
The cleanliness was rated at a four out of five. When sitting at our booth, our arms did not stick to our table, nor did our butts stick to the seat. This proves that our table and our booth were well wiped down. My feet didn’t stick onto the floor underneath the booth either. From what I saw looking around the not so crowded room, everything looked neat and in its place. The plates and silverware were placed precisely onto the table. The waitress placed our plates directly in front of where we were sitting, and then she carefully positioned our silverware on the right side of our body. She didn’t fail to situate our drink directly in the middle of our napkin coasters. I failed to see if the bathroom met those standards, so that affected my review, but if they took the time and care they did into their dining area, I’m sure their bathrooms were just as clean. Not many restaurants have such high standards, so if you're looking for a place like that, Spagna's is the place to go to.

Quality of Food:
My sizzling bowl of lasagna was placed in front of me, and my stomach sank because it did not look very appetizing. Ian’s dish, on the other hand, looked magnificent. I don’t even find Fettuccini Alfredo with chicken appealing, but I would have traded dishes with him just on the criteria of appearance. I then started to dig into my air bubble of a meal. After doing that, I proceeded to place a slice of my meal onto my fork. That slice was so hot that you could see the steam coming off of it. I then blew onto it until was cool enough to place into my mouth. As soon as the lasagna touched the tip of my tongue, I tasted the tomato from the sauce. It was so moist and soft that it didn’t take all that much effort to chew each delicious bite. This is the place to go if you're looking for a place that puts a lot of effort into making their meals excellent.

Service:
As soon as we walked into the restaurant, the hostess had us in a booth with menus in our hands. Our waitress was also very friendly. She always came back to check on us and to see how our food was or if she could do anything for us. She was also speedy. Whenever our drinks were low, she’d always be sure to refill them. She was also very quick with bringing out our food. The only complaint I had about our waitress was the fact she did not tell me my plate was hot, so I ended up burning my skin off the hot bowl of lasagna in front of me. Overall she did a first-class job with a smile on her face. This is the place to go if you are looking for a friendly waitor or waitress that appears to want to be anywhere else but there.

Overall:
Our overall experience was tremendous. We had great overall service. Spagna’s obviously puts a lot of effort into their restaurant to make sure that the experience is better than good. It is a more expensive restaurant, but it is definitely worth the extra buck. My recommendation is to take your significant other there because it definitely has a romantic atmosphere. I also recommend you go earlier in the evening because Ian and I had great service, it wasn’t too loud, nor did we have to wait a great deal of time for our food.
Well Melissa I have never been to Spagna's but I have always wanted to eat there. I'll definitely look into it after reading your review. (I'm glad you and Ian had a good time on your date!)
ReplyDeleteI will have to try this place out. I love Italian! Sounds like a good place to go for a quiet evening with a loved one.
ReplyDeleteI've never been to Spagna's before, but it sounds like a great place to eat. Thanks, and it may just be the next place I take my special someone.
ReplyDeleteSpagna's is quite delicious Italian. Like you said, they do put quite a bit of effort to create a fantastic dining experience.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great place to enjoy an evening meal. I've never been to Spagna's, so im gonna have to find out where it is first then go try it out.
ReplyDeleteI have ate at this restaraunt before, and i did not think it was all that great. I do not think the food is the best, and people think the restarunt is better then what it really is... I also think this restaraunt is slighty over priced for the amount of food that you recive.
