East of Chicago: Marietta's Finest

Ambiance:

The overall ambiance of East of Chicago is terrific. It is a little loud to dine in, however there are so many people here there is no way to avoid the noise. The kids' corner and the ESPN on the TVs make me feel at home, even though I have no kids and dislike sports.

Cleanliness:

The cleanliness of the dining area in East of Chicago is very impressive. Despite so many people, the waitresses keep all the tables clean, and are continuously taking the dirty plates from tables. The floor is very clean, with no trace of left over pizza droppings.

Food Quality:

The quality of the food I would like to say exceeds expectations, but I have high expectations for East of Chicago and they are all met. The pizza remains hot on the bar, but it is eaten so quickly there is no time for it to cool down anyways. Excellent, top of the line ingredients are used, no expense spared.

Service:

The waitresses there do such a fabulous job at serving all the people equally. There is never an empty glass, the plates are taken with out asking, and they always seem to be smiling. There was pizza on the bar constantly, the cooks in the back made sure of it, and apologized if it was a second late. Both waitresses helped each other, not just the costomers.

Presentation:

Finally, the presentation is not very remarkable. The waitresses were not formal, however they where polite. The fact that the dining are is clean clean helps their case, however there could have been more then just "having the Bar?"

  1. This East of Chigago sounds wonderful! I've been to quite a few different ones. One was very nice like this one, and the other was dissapointing, especially in cleanliness. East of Chigago is one of my favorite types of pizza by far. This review definitely made me want to go grab a slice!

  2. I agree with this review of East of Chicago. The restaurant in Marietta is the only one I have ever been to,even though my friend's parents own the branch in Vienna. The only thing I can complain about with this East of Chicago is that they aren't speedy with keeping the buffet stocked with the pizza I like, but other than that it is a great restaurant.
